No witnesses. No proof. Just her.
But the sky refuses their story.
It burns, watches, remembers—
each star a silent witness, each streak of light a crack in the lie.
Something happened there.
Something real.
And as she crosses the field, trembling but moving,
the darkness begins to shift—
not into safety yet,
but into the first fragile possibility
that someone, somewhere,

Description — “Nobody Will Believe You”
 
This piece tells the story of a woman escaping a house where something terrible has happened—though what exactly occurred remains unknown. The absence of clarity is intentional; the horror lives in what cannot be proven, in what leaves no visible trace. There are no witnesses, no evidence—only her experience. She has been gaslit by her abusers, made to believe that her truth will be dismissed, that no one will believe her.
The house stands behind her, quiet and undisturbed, holding its secrets. It appears almost ordinary, which deepens the unease—suggesting how easily violence and suffering can be hidden in plain sight. The surrounding darkness and distorted sky create a heavy, unsettling atmosphere, reflecting confusion, fear, and psychological turmoil.
Yet the sky also begins to shift in meaning. The glowing, watchful stars and streaks of light suggest something beyond isolation—something that sees, even if unseen by others. They symbolize the fragile beginning of hope: the possibility of being heard, of being believed.
The woman runs forward, away from the house and what it represents. She is alone, but moving. And in that movement, despite the fear and uncertainty, there is the first quiet defiance of the lie she was told—that nobody will believe her.
